Two water rafting trips are offered each day, one at 10.00 am and the other at 3.00 pm. Both trips run for 10km each providing a unique white water rafting experience. You have to first arrive at The Earthen Pot Restaurant located at Valpoi town in Sattari taluka. You have to reach there at 9.30 am for the trip commencing at 10.00 am and at 2.30 pm for the trip commencing at 3.00 pm. All the essential facilities like toilets, changing rooms, parking area and a reception area to brief the guests before departure are available at the meeting point. The visitors can also savour some unique Goan delicacies before the rafting trip begins which are available at reasonable rates at this Restaurant. You have to board the appointed minivans and get to Mhadei river which is 25 minute’s drive from the meeting point. A 10 minute’s walk down the river and you reach the start point. The visitors will be briefed and given training by the guides so as to ensure a safe and memorable ride down the river. The visitors will also be provided safety equipment’s by the guides. It’s time to experience one of the best rafting trips and that too amid the spectacular jungle scenery along the Mhadei Wildlife Sanctuary. After enjoying one of the best white water rafting experience, it’s time to return. It approximately takes 2-3 hours for rafting at the Valpoi river and you come back with some fond memories. The visitors have to board the minivans and get back to the meeting point.

Fixed sandals or secure sneakers are allowed but slippers are strictly not allowed. Salwar kameez is acceptable but not ideal. Instead, short kurtas would be more advisable than long kurtas. Additionally, please carry a towel and a change of clothes for after the trip.
Rafting is allowed only for those who are above 12 years and who are physically fit. Rafting is not allowed for heart patients and pregnant women. People suffering from any ailment are advised not to go for rafting as it involves a lot of physical activity. Visitors are advised to strictly follow all the safety precautions. Kindly do not carry any valuable items like jewellery and watches that you cannot afford to lose.

The cost of rafting will range anywhere between Rs. 1800/- to Rs. 2700/-. Visitors do not have to pay anything extra for the rafting trip. If the booking is cancelled 48 hours before the trip then 50% of the amount will be refunded. However, if the visitor does not turn up or cancels the booking less than 24 hours before the departure time then no refund will be given.
