The boat departs from the beach between 8:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
The boat trip is a little over an hour. It will take longer if you are lucky to sight dolphins on the way there or back.
A towel, a sunbathing mat (if you don’t want to lie on the sand) swimwear, sunblock, a hat, a pair of comfortable sandals or shoes that have a good grip.
The seas are generally calm but if you suffer from motion sickness it is advisable that you take a tablet before the trip begins and carry the tablets with you for the way back.
Apart from the scenic boat ride you will get to see the Governor’s palace as we sail by and part of the fort wall that protects the area. You will also see an old fort in Marmagoa.
Apart from enjoy the boat ride you can go snorkelling, fishing, and swimming. These activities happen once we have reached Grand Island. You can also indulge in a little dolphin spotting on the way especially when the tide is coming in.
Snorkeling is swimming while equipped with a diving mask, a snorkel, and sometimes swim-fins (flippers).
Swimming will be an asset but it’s okay if you don’t know how to. You will be provided with a life jacket.
If you are a confident swimmer then you are definitely safe. If you are not a good swimmer or you don’t know how to swim then you will get a life jacket to help you stay afloat.

Between the months of Mid October to mid-May is best for Snorkeling in Goa. The sea is clear and the visibility is relatively high.
