Bonderam Festival of Flags at Divar Island – Goa
The festivities begin with a flag parade. This is followed by a fancy dress parade and a traditional float parade. Each ward in the village has its own float and tries to outdo the other wards.

The submerged village rises from water once a year. The village starts drying up in the heat of mid-April and lasts until May or mid-June. In summer, the village has beautiful valleys with lush green mountains but the land is barren.
