Chapora River
Chapora River is located in North Goa and flows west towards the Arabian Sea. Vagator Beach lies to the south of the river and Morjim Beach to the North. This river was the demarcation of Portuguese Goa and India during the Portuguese rule in Goa.
You will see the ruins of Chapora Fort on top of a hill. It was built in 1617, however the fort you will see was constructed a century later and replaced the old construction. The fort is now in ruins but the view from the top remains wondrous especially when you’re gazing at the expanse of the Arabian Sea.
The houseboat will sail west towards the Chapora river where you can swim or splash about in the azure waters. If you’re lucky you will be able to spot crocodile along the way.
Day Trip in Chapora River
This amazing day trip begins. You will step aboard the houseboat at 1100 hrs (11:00 pm) and begin a glorious afternoon. The day ends at 1600 hrs (4:00 pm). The houseboat will return to the Chopdem Jetty where your ride back to the hotel waits for you.
You will be able to sample an authentic Goan meal or Indian cuisine. You can also give fishing a try.
