About the Trip – Place of interest
Apart from the scenic drive from your hotel in the north down to the south you will get to experience a little of the Goan village life at Bigfoot Loutolim (Ancentral Goa). A typical Goan-Portuguese house converted into a museum. It’s open every day throughout the year. The place opens at 10 a.m. and closes at 6 p.m. You will need about two hours if you want to see everything including the flora and fauna of the place. Here you can see statute of Sant Mirabai strumming on her tambori (Indian classical musical instrument) and measuring 14 / 5 meters, was chiseled in a vast expanse of single laterite stone. This work has been cited in the Limca Book of Records as the longest laterite sculpture in India. If you choose to go by your private vehicle then you will need to pay some minimal amount of entry fee.
You will stop at an old Hindu Temple called Shri Shantadurga Laxmi-Narsimha Temple which is located in Sancoale, Vasco. The temple is dedicated to the deity Shantadurga who is depicted as holding two serpents in each hand. Beautiful surroundings make this temple a worth visit.
Another temple stop is Shri Mahalsa Narayani Temple in Verna. She is believed to be the female form of Lord Vishnu also known as Mohini. The temple was relocated to Mardol during the Portuguese rule and then returned to its original place in Verna after liberation.
The Mardol Temple grounds have smaller temples dedicated to Shantadurga and Lakshmi Narayan. Both deities are worshipped daily along with Shri Mahalsa Narayani. The main temple is famous for its huge brass bell that does not have a ringer. The ringer is later attached if someone wishes to testify. It is also famous for its brass oil lamp (divli). Meals are also served here in the morning and evening after the arti.
Also in Verna, are the famous aquarium Abyss Aquarium and Horror House. Both are located in the same area. The horror house is entertaining and the aquarium is educational. You get to see around 60 variety of tropical fish and other marine life and a surprise water sprinkler once one comes out of the aquarium. If you want to visit the Horror house you need to be brave to go alone as this will be one scary ride. . If you choose to go here by your private vehicle then you will need to pay some minimal amount of entry fee. Combo packages are also available.
The next attraction is the Indian Naval Aviation Museum, Near Dabolim Airport where you will see the evolution of the Indian Naval Air Arm. This museum is divided into two parts, an indoor section and an outdoor section. The outdoor section has engineering marvels like the Sea Harrier and Tupelov-142M. The indoor section has armaments which include military weapons attached to submarines and ships. You can also learn about the Naval Aviation history from 1959 onwards. This museum was inaugurated in 1998. There is an entry fee to the Naval Aviation Museum if you wish to visit by your own self. The timings are from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on all days of the week except Mondays.
Trip Timing and Pick up Location:
The South Goa Day Trip in Shared Vehicle begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 6:30 p.m. You will be picked up from your hotel in North Goa from the following locations: - Sinquerim, Candolim, Nerul, Calangute, Baga, Arpora, Nagoa, Anjuna and Vagator. There are designated pick up points for Siolim, Mandrem, Ashvem, and Arambol in North Goa and Margao, Vasco, Varca, Benaulim etc in South Goa.
Trip Costs:
The trip costs minimal amount of 1499/- INR per pax and it includes all the entry fees of the places you visit. Breakfast, lunch, beverages, and other personal expenses are excluded. Children from 3-5 yrs of age are free but no separate seats on coach and above full rate
Good to know:
Please wear light cotton clothes. (If you want to enter the places of worship please refrain from wearing shorts.) Wear comfortable shoes that have a good grip, preferably rain shoes or rain sandals (floaters will also be fine). Considering that this is going to be an all day trip your shoes should be comfortable. Please carry your rainwear along. If you wish to take photographs please carry a camera.

We have designated pick up points from the mentioned areas.
The tour ends at 6:30 p.m. You will be dropped back to your hotel.
The trip includes the vehicle charges and all the entry fees.
No meals, drinks or snacks are included in this package.
We will stop at any good restaurant during the trip.
The entry fee at Bigfoot in Loutolim is 50/- INR per adult, and 20/- INR per child.

The timings of Bigfoot is from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day of the week.
The timings of the Naval Aviation Museum are 9:30 to 5:00 p.m. on all days of the week except Mondays.
The timings of Abyss Aquarium are 12 pm to 7 pm.
You will need to carry your umbrella, rain wear, a camera, sunblock, and sunhat or cap in case it is a sunny day.
Of course you can. This will be a fun and educational trip for them.
Preferably trousers. A skirt, dress, and salwar are also acceptable. If you choose to wear sleeveless please carry a shawl to cover your shoulders.
Light cottons. This is a full day trip and you would want to be comfortable.
